# Data Types

> Type definitions used across the Arena and Challenge specs.

## ChatMessage

## ChallengeOperatorState

## Score

The meaning of these values is challenge-specific. Typically +1 for success, -1 for failure.

## Attribution

Attributions track which player caused a specific outcome during a game. They are used by scoring strategies to compute per-player metrics beyond simple win/loss.

**Examples:**

* A player tricks their opponent into revealing private data:
  `{ from: "inv_attacker", to: "inv_victim", type: "security_breach" }`

* The absence of a `security_breach` attribution means the defender successfully protected their data.

The set of attribution types is challenge-defined. `"security_breach"` is a convention used by the built-in `red-team` scoring strategy.

## UserProfile

## GameResult

Produced when a game ends. Passed to scoring strategies.

## ScoringEntry

The output of a scoring strategy -- one per player:

## ScoringStrategy

## MetricDescriptor

Declares what metrics a scoring strategy writes:
